501 Hot Melt Butyl Sealant is the primary sealant specially used for insulating glass, which is a key raw material for IG production. It has ultra-low water vapor transmission rate and excellent air tightness, effectively blocking moisture ingress and preventing fogging and condensation inside insulating glass units. It is applied by hot melting with proper fluidity, and offers strong adhesion to glass and aluminum spacers. It features good aging resistance and wide temperature tolerance, and will not harden or crack over time. Matched with silicone secondary sealant, it forms the double sealing system of insulating glass. Widely used for insulating glass of architectural doors, windows and curtain walls.
